About this program
Michigan's Build MI Community Grant Initiative supports small-scale developers and community projects that activate vacant or abandoned property, create housing, commercial space, or storefronts, and strengthen downtowns and main streets, including funded Ypsilanti projects.
Eligibility
Eligible developers, nonprofits, local governments, and community partners with qualifying housing, commercial activation, or community revitalization projects in Michigan communities such as Ypsilanti.
Requirements
- Apply through the MEDC program process when funding is available
- Submit project narrative, eligible costs, budget, site control, match, readiness, and community impact information
- Meet readiness, compliance, and reporting requirements
