About this program
The FY2026 Rhode Island Avenue Support Grant Program provides up to $350,000 in total funding to support small businesses that have or will sign long-term leases of at least five years in the Rhode Island Avenue corridor. Eligible businesses must offer services or activities that strengthen community connections and attract foot traffic to the neighborhood. Funds may offset rent or support tenant improvements.

Small businesses with or planning a long-term lease of at least five years in the Rhode Island Avenue corridor that strengthen community connections and foot traffic.
Requirements
- Business must be located in or signing a lease in the Rhode Island Avenue corridor in Washington, DC.
- Business must have or plan to sign a lease of at least five years.
- Business must offer services or activities that strengthen community connections and attract foot traffic.
