About this program
The City of Norman administers HOME Investment Partnerships Program funds from HUD to create and maintain affordable housing for low-income households. Norman's HOME-funded neighborhood program includes down payment assistance for households purchasing homes in the Old Silk Stocking, Original Townsite, and First Courthouse neighborhoods, administered by Neighborhood Housing Services. HOME resources may also support eligible affordable housing activities identified through the city's planning process.
Eligibility
Eligible low-income households, affordable housing providers, nonprofit housing partners, developers, and approved administrators serving Norman may access HOME-funded assistance when funding and program eligibility requirements are met.
Requirements
- Project or household must be located in Norman or serve eligible Norman residents.
- Activity must meet HOME program eligible activity, income, and affordability requirements.
- Down payment assistance households must purchase in one of the eligible core neighborhoods when using that specific program.
