Nonprofit CDFI lender providing flexible, low-barrier loans for Colorado small businesses unable to access traditional bank financing. Includes SBA microloans and SBA 7(a) Community Advantage loans, plus free business coaching for the life of the loan.
About this program
CEF celebrates 50th anniversary in 2026. Has disbursed over $441 million to 9,800 businesses. Free Business Navigation services (coaching) included. Also administers Boulder Microloan Program, Littleton Revolving Loan Fund, and other municipal partnerships.
Eligibility
Colorado-based small businesses (startups and existing) that cannot meet traditional bank financing requirements due to startup status, limited collateral, or lower credit scores. Available statewide. Used for working capital, equipment, inventory, business purchase, or property improvements.
