Dirigo Business Incentives — Employee Training Credit (Professional Services)
The Dirigo Business Incentives Employee Training Credit provides a $2,000 tax credit per worker trained in approved training programs for Maine professional services employers. Effective January 1, 2025.

For-profit Maine professional services businesses that pay to train three or more workers in approved training programs. Advance DECD certification required.
Requirements
- Must be a for-profit Maine business
- Train at least 3 workers in approved programs
- Obtain advance DECD certification
