About this program

East Providence receives its own annual HUD Community Development Block Grant entitlement allocation and uses CDBG funds for eligible community development, public service, housing, infrastructure, and economic opportunity projects benefiting low- and moderate-income residents.

Eligibility

Eligible nonprofits, public agencies, city departments, community organizations, and project sponsors serving East Providence residents and meeting HUD national objectives.

Requirements

  • Apply or coordinate through East Providence Community Development during the annual planning cycle
  • Submit project scope, budget, beneficiaries, organizational documents, and federal compliance information
  • Meet HUD national objective, environmental, procurement, reporting, and contracting requirements
