The Community Development Grant Medium Grants Program provides gap financing for Chicago development projects with larger capital needs and strong neighborhood impact. The program can support eligible construction, rehabilitation, and development costs for commercial, mixed-use, nonprofit, and community-serving projects that are ready to advance and can document project feasibility.
Eligibility
Businesses, nonprofit organizations, developers, and property owners with eligible Chicago development projects requesting more than $250,000 and up to $5 million may apply.
Requirements
- Project must be located in Chicago.
- Requested City grant must be within the Medium Grants funding range.
- Applicant must show project readiness, site control, budget, financing sources, and development team capacity.
