About this program
The Agricultural Enterprise Fund supports job creation and economic development by funding starting or expanding agricultural, food, and forestry businesses, nonprofits, local governments, and other Tennessee-based entities. The program focuses on value-added and processing projects that benefit producers or forest landowners and can support equipment purchases, infrastructure development, and programs or events aligned with AEF goals.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are Tennessee agricultural, food, or forestry businesses, farmers, local governments, nonprofits, or other entities in Tennessee, or projects based in Tennessee, that increase farm income, access to markets, capacity, or agricultural innovation.
Requirements
- Applicant must be a Tennessee entity or have a project based in Tennessee.
- Project must increase farm income, enhance access to agricultural markets, increase business capacity, or contribute to agriculture or forestry through innovation.
- Applicant must make an investment into the project.
