BIA Indian Loan Guarantee and Insurance Program (ILGP)
Federal program providing lenders with up to a 90% loan guarantee or insurance for loans to enrolled members of federally recognized AI/AN tribes and Native-owned businesses, including Iowa-based Meskwaki Nation members; supports working capital, equipment, acquisition, construction, and refinancing.

Eligibility
Enrolled members of federally recognized American Indian or Alaska Native tribes, federally recognized AI/AN tribes or groups, and business entities with no less than 51% ownership by federally recognized AI/AN individuals; Iowa Meskwaki Nation members are eligible.
Requirements
- Enrolled member of a federally recognized AI/AN tribe, or business at least 51% AI/AN owned
- Project must promote economic development on or near a reservation or Indian community service area
- Borrower applies through a participating lender, not directly through BIA
