Downtown Frederick Partnership administers the Facade Improvement Project, offering up to 50 percent matching funds for facade improvements to commercial buildings in Downtown Frederick. The program encourages building renovation, historic preservation, and improved economic vitality and is funded by Maryland’s Community Legacy Program in cooperation with the City of Frederick Department of Economic Development.
Eligibility
Downtown Frederick property or business owners with eligible street-facing commercial facade improvement projects.
Requirements
- Project must be in eligible Downtown Frederick area
- Submit facade application, project scope, cost estimates, and design information
- Receive commitment letter before beginning work; prior work is not eligible
