Most Hawaii businesses that meet SSBCI guidelines and seek capital assistance through HI-CAP programs.
Requirements
- Must meet State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) guidelines as dictated by the U.S. Treasury
- Different programs target different business types: VC fund managers, small businesses needing collateral, transformative projects with community impact, and businesses requiring microloans
- Eligible transformative projects include renewable energy, innovation, local agriculture, dual-use technology, manufacturing, and creative industry projects
