About this program
The Ypsilanti Downtown Development Authority Building Rehabilitation and Facade Program supports improvements to older commercial buildings in the DDA's downtown districts. The program helps property owners and tenants complete exterior facade, accessibility, fire and safety, and rehabilitation work that improves the appearance, code compliance, and economic vitality of Downtown Ypsilanti, with reimbursement after approved work is completed.
Eligibility
Property owners and tenants with eligible commercial properties located in Ypsilanti DDA districts may apply; tenant applicants must have owner authorization and an executed lease that matches the improvement agreement term.
Requirements

- Project must involve eligible facade or building rehabilitation work that supports commercial, retail, or professional use.
- Applicant must submit the YDDA application and receive approval before starting work.
