Eligibility
Municipalities, counties, Soil and Water Conservation Districts, and land trusts seeking to protect viable agricultural land from conversion to non-agricultural use through conservation easements. Program cycles occur every other year.
Requirements
- Applicant must be a municipality, county, SWCD, or land trust
- Project must involve a conservation easement on viable agricultural land
- Pre-application process required (typically begins in spring of even-numbered years)
