About this program
The Syracuse Industrial Development Agency supports city economic development by providing financial assistance for eligible projects, including sales and use tax exemptions, mortgage recording tax exemptions, bond financing, and property tax abatement through PILOT agreements.
Eligibility
Eligible businesses, developers, nonprofits, and project sponsors undertaking qualifying construction, rehabilitation, expansion, or equipment projects in Syracuse.
Requirements
- Submit SIDA project application with project budget, financing, jobs, and public benefit details
- Complete public review, board approval, environmental and legal documentation
- Comply with PILOT, reporting, local labor, and recapture requirements where applicable
