COMIDA tax incentives and financing tools for eligible business expansion and real estate projects in Monroe County.
About this program
The County of Monroe Industrial Development Agency supports eligible economic development projects with sales tax exemptions, mortgage recording tax exemptions, property tax abatements, and bond financing. Rochester projects can use COMIDA incentives for manufacturing, office, mixed-use, adaptive reuse, and job-creating investment when criteria are met.
Eligibility
Eligible businesses, developers, nonprofits, and projects in Monroe County that meet COMIDA economic development and public benefit criteria.
Requirements
- Submit project application, investment budget, job and wage projections, and requested benefits
- Receive COMIDA board approval and complete public hearing or reporting requirements
- Comply with performance, local labor, recapture, and annual reporting obligations
