Hawaii's HI-CAP Invest program provides SSBCI-backed venture investment support for eligible Hawaii startups and high-growth businesses.
About this program
HI-CAP Invest is Hawaii's venture capital and investment component under the State Small Business Credit Initiative. The program is intended to increase availability of risk capital for eligible Hawaii startups and high-growth small businesses, particularly companies pursuing innovation, technology, commercialization, and scalable growth. Investments are made through approved fund or investment structures under SSBCI rules.
Eligibility
Eligible Hawaii startups and high-growth small businesses may seek investment support through approved HI-CAP Invest channels.
Requirements
- Business must be located in Hawaii or meet Hawaii SSBCI operating requirements.
- Company must be an eligible startup or small business under SSBCI rules.
- Applicant must present a scalable business model and growth plan.
