The Alaska Mariculture Loan Program finances planning, construction, and operation of mariculture businesses, hatcheries that propagate marine aquatic plants or shellfish, and shellfish enhancement projects. Applicants must have a permitted Alaska mariculture farm location or required hatchery permits, relevant industry experience or training, and 24 consecutive months of Alaska residency before application. The program supports seaweed, shellfish, hatchery, and enhancement projects in Alaska waters.
Eligibility
Alaska resident mariculture farmers, hatchery operators, shellfish enhancement projects, and qualifying Alaska business entities may apply for eligible mariculture financing.
