The Community Services Block Grant is a federally funded anti-poverty program administered by DC DHS through a network of community and faith-based nonprofit organizations to address poverty, strengthen communities, and improve self-sufficiency.

Eligibility

Designated and eligible community- and faith-based nonprofit organizations serving low-income District residents through approved CSBG activities.

Requirements

  • Provide services aligned with CSBG priority areas
  • Coordinate with DHS, UPO, or the designated community action network
  • Meet federal and District reporting, client eligibility, and program performance requirements
