Nixa may support Transportation Development Districts that finance transportation improvements for qualifying development projects.
About this program
The City of Nixa identifies Transportation Development Districts as an available Missouri economic development tool for transportation-related projects. A TDD may fund, promote, plan, design, construct, improve, maintain, or operate transportation projects such as streets, highways, interchanges, traffic signage, bridges, and related improvements that support private development or district needs.
Eligibility
Property owners, businesses, developers, and eligible petitioners with transportation improvement needs tied to a Nixa development or district may pursue TDD financing.
Requirements
- Proposed transportation project or district must be located in or directly serve Nixa.
- Project must be transportation-related and eligible under Missouri TDD law.
- District creation must follow petition or voter approval requirements under state law.
