About this program
The Downtown Kingsport Redevelopment Loan Program provides financing for small business owners, property owners, and investors purchasing or renovating downtown property or buying fixed equipment for business creation, expansion, or retention. Loan uses may include down payment assistance, closing costs, renovation costs beyond bank financing, and microloans for building improvements or fixed equipment in the Downtown Kingsport Redevelopment District.
Eligibility
Small business owners, property owners, and investors with eligible business or property projects in the Downtown Kingsport Redevelopment District may apply through the Northeast Tennessee Economic Development Corporation.
Requirements
- Project must involve an existing or new business in the Downtown Kingsport Redevelopment District.
- Loan proceeds must support eligible property purchase, down payment, closing costs, renovation, or fixed equipment costs.
- Borrower must maintain a business account at one of the participating banks.
