The Commercial Property Acquisition Fund provides down payment grants to help DC businesses buy commercial property they will occupy.
About this program
The Commercial Property Acquisition Fund is a District investment of up to $1.5 million that provides down payment assistance to eligible DC-based businesses acquiring commercial property in the District. Grants may be up to $300,000 or 25% of the sale price, whichever is less. The program is designed for business applicants that will own and occupy the commercial property for at least seven years.

Eligible DC-based businesses seeking to maintain or expand operations by acquiring and occupying commercial property in Washington, DC.
Requirements
- Business must be DC-based and seeking to acquire commercial property in Washington, DC.
- Applicant must own and occupy the commercial property for at least seven years.
- Funds must be used for eligible down payment assistance.
