Provides Arkansas matching grants for businesses that have received federal SBIR Phase I or Phase II awards.
About this program
The Arkansas SBIR Matching Grant program leverages federal Small Business Innovation Research awards to stimulate technology business growth and high-tech job creation in Arkansas. Discretionary state grants may match up to 50% of federal Phase I and Phase II SBIR grant amounts, capped at $50,000 for Phase I awards and $100,000 for Phase II awards, with disbursements made on a reimbursable basis.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are Arkansas technology businesses that have received a federal SBIR award and are principally involved in approved targeted business activities.
Requirements
- Applicant must have been awarded a federal SBIR award.
- Business must be principally involved in an eligible targeted business activity.
- Eligible sectors include advanced materials and manufacturing systems, agriculture, food and environmental sciences, biotechnology, information technology, transportation logistics, or bio-based products.
