Appleton administers CDBG funds for eligible community development, housing, public service, and economic development activities.
About this program
The City of Appleton receives Community Development Block Grant entitlement funds from HUD and allocates them through a local annual planning and advisory board process. CDBG funds may support housing rehabilitation, neighborhood grants, public services, community facilities, fair housing, planning, administration, and special economic development activities that principally benefit low- and moderate-income residents.
Eligibility
Eligible nonprofit organizations, public agencies, community partners, and qualified project sponsors serving Appleton residents or neighborhoods may apply during the City's annual CDBG funding process.
Requirements
- Project must serve Appleton residents or neighborhoods.
- Activity must meet a HUD CDBG national objective.
- Applicant must be an eligible organization or implementing partner under CDBG rules.
