Nationally recognized MBE certification for Maine minority-owned businesses; as of May 19, 2025, the former regional partner (GNEMSDC) no longer processes certifications — all applications are now managed directly by NMSDC through the NMSDC Hub; connects certified Maine MBEs to procurement opportunities with 1,400+ corporate members; NMSDC Hub launched September 2025 with streamlined processing.

Eligibility
For-profit businesses at least 51% owned, managed, and controlled by an ethnic minority (African American, Hispanic, Asian Pacific Islander, Asian Indian, or Native American) U.S. citizen in Maine.
Requirements
- At least 51% owned, managed, and controlled by an ethnic minority U.S. citizen
- For-profit business in Maine
- Complete pre-qualification survey and apply directly through the NMSDC Hub at nmsdc.org/certifications/get-started
