About this program
The NYFSC Home Sharing Program matches older adults and other eligible adults with compatible home seekers to help reduce housing costs, provide companionship, and support aging in place in New York City and surrounding areas.
Eligibility
Adults age 60 or older, adult hosts age 55 or older interested in sharing with a developmentally disabled adult capable of independent living, and eligible adult home seekers meeting program requirements.
Requirements
- Applicants must complete the home sharing application, provide personal and housing information, participate in screening and matching, and meet program safety and compatibility requirements.
