Biloxi Downtown Facade Program
Biloxi uses CDBG funds to provide facade improvement grants for eligible commercial properties in the downtown facade district.
About this program
The City of Biloxi Downtown Facade Program uses HUD Community Development Block Grant funds to upgrade commercial building facades in the Downtown Facade Improvement District. The program is intended to improve the appearance of existing buildings fronting public streets, make the district more appealing to consumers and investors, and support downtown reinvestment. Eligible construction costs are generally capped at $30,000, with possible approval for a limited increase when warranted by project circumstances.
Eligibility
Commercial property owners with eligible properties in Biloxi's Downtown Facade Improvement District may apply if the property is current on taxes and licenses and meets program requirements.
Requirements
- Property must be located within Biloxi's Downtown Facade Improvement District.
- Applicant must be the property owner and possess clear title to the property.
- Property must be commercial, or a building with four or more residential units treated as commercial under the program guidelines.
