Eligibility
Small businesses at least 51% owned by enrolled members of Maine's four federally recognized Wabanaki tribes (Penobscot, Passamaquoddy, Houlton Band of Maliseet, or Aroostook Band of Micmacs); tribal enrollment satisfies the social disadvantage narrative requirement; must also demonstrate economic disadvantage and qualify as a small business under SBA size standards.
Requirements
- At least 51% owned and controlled by a Native American individual or tribal entity
- Enrolled in a federally recognized AI/AN tribe
- Qualify as a small business under SBA size standards
