About this program
USDA Value-Added Producer Grants help agricultural producers, producer groups, and farmer or rancher cooperatives generate new products, create marketing opportunities, and increase producer income through value-added agricultural activities.
Eligibility
Independent agricultural producers, producer groups, farmer or rancher cooperatives, and eligible majority-controlled producer-based business ventures with qualifying value-added projects.
Requirements
- Apply through USDA Rural Development during an open notice of funding
- Provide work plan, budget, matching funds, and producer eligibility documentation
- Use funds for eligible planning or working capital activities
