About this program
The Proof of Commercial Relevance program is part of Iowa's Innovation Continuum and supports very early-stage companies that need to validate customer demand, test market assumptions, and establish commercial potential before larger financing. Awards help companies complete customer discovery, prototype validation, market testing, and other activities that demonstrate product-market fit.
Eligibility
Early-stage Iowa startups with innovative products or technologies may apply for proof-of-commercial-relevance support.
Requirements
- Business must be an Iowa startup or eligible company under IEDA rules.
- Project must focus on customer discovery, commercial validation, prototype validation, or market testing.
- Applicant must submit application materials, budget, milestones, and commercialization plan.
