About this program
The Seed Capital Investment Program helps form and develop innovative, technology-based enterprises in Arkansas by providing working capital for initial capitalization or expansion. Investments may be structured as debt financing, equity financing, royalty participation, stock appreciation, or a combination of qualified securities, with the goal of supporting commercialization, high-wage job creation, private investment leverage, and technology-driven economic growth.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are Arkansas-based innovative technology enterprises with scientific or technological projects that promote AEDC's economic development purpose and provide scientific or technological benefits to Arkansas.
Requirements
- Enterprise's principal place of business must be in Arkansas.
- Project must be scientific or technological in nature.
- Project must provide scientific and technological benefits to Arkansas.
