About this program
CLT Black Owned created The People’s Fund as a direct relief fund to stabilize Charlotte-area Black-owned businesses. Businesses with at least 30 percent Black ownership located in Mecklenburg County may apply for crisis funding or other grant categories when available.

Black-owned businesses located in Mecklenburg County that meet ownership, hardship, and program category requirements.
Requirements
- Have at least 30 percent Black ownership and be located in Mecklenburg County
- Demonstrate financial hardship or eligible need
- Submit application, business documentation, ownership information, and proposed use of funds
