About this program
The City of Dearborn Brownfield Redevelopment Authority can support eligible redevelopment projects through tax increment financing reimbursement for eligible brownfield activities. Projects involving contaminated, obsolete, blighted, or functionally obsolete properties may receive reimbursement for eligible environmental, demolition, site preparation, infrastructure, and related costs through an approved brownfield plan.
Eligibility
Developers, businesses, and property owners with eligible brownfield redevelopment projects in Dearborn may seek Brownfield TIF support through the City.
Requirements
- Project must be located in Dearborn and involve eligible brownfield property conditions.
- Applicant must provide project scope, eligible activities, cost estimates, financing plan, and public benefit information.
- A brownfield plan or plan amendment must be reviewed and approved through the local process.
