About this program
Fargo offers property tax exemptions for eligible remodeling projects. Commercial property owners renovating buildings at least 25 years old may receive a five-year exemption on value added by remodeling, subject to review and city approval for qualifying projects.
Eligibility
Commercial property owners in Fargo improving eligible buildings that are at least 25 years old.
Requirements
- Own or improve an eligible commercial building in Fargo
- Submit exemption application and project details to the Fargo Assessment Department
- Obtain Economic Development Incentives Committee and City Commission approval when required
