About this program
The Downtown Billings Facade Improvement Grant supports building owners and businesses making visible exterior improvements in the downtown district. Eligible projects can include storefront upgrades, paint, signage, lighting, awnings, doors, windows, and other improvements that enhance downtown character and economic vitality.
Eligibility
Downtown Billings property owners or tenants with owner approval undertaking eligible exterior facade projects.
Requirements
- Property must be located in the eligible downtown district
- Submit project scope, design information, cost estimates, and ownership or tenant authorization
- Receive approval before beginning reimbursable work
