Texas provides a full sales and use tax exemption on machinery and equipment directly used in the manufacturing process, plus an exemption on utilities (electricity, natural gas) consumed during manufacturing. Provides significant cost savings for Texas manufacturers.

Texas manufacturers purchasing machinery, equipment, or utilities directly used in the manufacturing, processing, or fabrication of tangible personal property for sale.
Requirements
- Texas-based manufacturer
- Equipment must be directly used in the manufacturing process
- File Form 01-339 (Texas Sales and Use Tax Resale Certificate) with vendors
