About this program
The Visual Improvement Program helps eligible Long Beach businesses and commercial property owners improve storefronts, signage, awnings, paint, lighting, security, and other exterior or customer-facing improvements that strengthen neighborhood commercial corridors.
Eligibility
Businesses or commercial property owners located in eligible Long Beach commercial areas, with required city business licensing, owner authorization, and eligible improvement scope.
Requirements
- Submit a project application before starting work
- Provide business and property documentation, photos, contractor estimates, and owner approval
- Complete approved improvements and submit paid invoices or reimbursement documentation
