Federal contracting set-aside program reserving at least 5% of federal contracting dollars for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses.
About this program
Certification with SBA allows service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses (SDVOSBs) to compete for federal sole-source and set-aside contracts across the entire federal government. The federal goal is to award at least 5% of all prime and subcontract dollars to SDVOSBs each year (over $31 billion annually). Sole-source awards can go up to $8.5 million for manufacturing requirements and $5 million for all other requirements.
Eligibility
Business must be at least 51% owned and controlled by one or more service-disabled veterans verified by the VA, qualify as small under SBA size standards, and the principal owner must be a U.S. citizen.
