About this program
The New Jersey Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services helps eligible individuals with disabilities prepare for, obtain, maintain, or advance in employment. Services can include counseling, training, job placement, supported employment, assistive technology, and self-employment planning when included in an Individualized Plan for Employment. Deadline notes: Applications are generally accepted on a rolling basis. Notes: DVRS can support self-employment when it is part of an approved employment plan.
Eligibility
New Jersey residents with a physical, mental, cognitive, or other disability that creates a substantial barrier to employment and who require vocational rehabilitation services to reach an employment outcome.
Requirements
- Apply to DVRS and complete eligibility determination; provide disability, employment, education, income, and vocational goal information requested by the counselor.
