Rhode Island's Social Equity Assistance Program and Fund may provide grants to approved social equity applicants to help establish or operate licensed cannabis establishments.

Eligibility
Only approved Rhode Island cannabis social equity applicants are eligible to apply for grant and waiver resources; approved applicants must demonstrate ownership and control of at least 51 percent equity in the cannabis business applying for resources.
Requirements
- Applicant must be certified by the Rhode Island Cannabis Control Commission as an approved social equity applicant.
- Applicant must hold a cannabis license or have been selected for licensure when grant resources are offered.
- Applicant must demonstrate at least 51 percent ownership and control by the approved social equity applicant.
