BETA provides Black entrepreneurs with business training and the chance to pitch for up to $5,000 in capital.
About this program
Black Entrepreneur Training Academy is a cohort-based virtual training program operated by Black Wall Street Kalamazoo and Sisters in Business with City of Kalamazoo support through the Foundation for Excellence. Participants complete business development modules, mentoring, and technical assistance, and successful graduates have the opportunity to pitch for business capital of up to $5,000.
Eligibility
Black entrepreneurs and Black-owned businesses connected to Kalamazoo's entrepreneurial community may apply for the BETA cohort when applications are open.
Requirements
- Applicant must be a Black entrepreneur or Black-owned business participant eligible for the BETA cohort.
- Applicant must apply and be accepted into the cohort-based training program.
- Participant must complete required business development modules and live sessions.
