Texas Enterprise Zone Program (EZP) – Sales Tax Refund for Food Service Businesses in Distressed Areas
State sales and use tax refunds for restaurant and food service businesses that invest in facilities and create or retain jobs in designated Texas enterprise zones.

Eligibility
For-profit food service businesses nominated by a qualifying Texas city or county located in or near a designated enterprise zone. Must commit to capital investment and job creation targets.
Requirements
- Must be nominated by a local government with available designations
- Must meet capital investment and job creation or retention thresholds
- Maximum 105 statewide designations per biennium; applications accepted quarterly
