About this program
The U.S. Small Business Administration issued a physical disaster declaration for Westchester County and contiguous counties after the November 23, 2025 fire in Mount Vernon. Businesses and nonprofits affected by the disaster may apply for Economic Injury Disaster Loans of up to $2 million to provide necessary working capital until normal operations resume. The physical damage loan deadline has passed, but the economic injury loan deadline remains September 16, 2026.
Eligibility
Businesses and nonprofit organizations in Westchester County, including Mount Vernon, or contiguous eligible counties that suffered economic injury from the November 23, 2025 Mount Vernon fire and meet SBA disaster loan requirements.
Requirements
- Operate as a business or nonprofit affected by the November 23, 2025 Mount Vernon fire
- Be located in Westchester County or another eligible county covered by the SBA disaster declaration
- Demonstrate economic injury caused by the disaster
