The Rural Economic Development Loan and Grant Program provides zero-interest loans to eligible utilities, which relend to local businesses and community projects that create or retain rural jobs.
Eligibility
Current and former Rural Utilities Service borrowers and eligible nonprofit utilities may apply for pass-through projects benefiting rural communities.
Requirements
- Eligible utility applies to USDA
- Project must create or retain rural employment
- Use funds through pass-through loan or revolving loan structure
