BIA Indian Loan Guarantee and Insurance Program (ILGP) – Tennessee Native Americans
The BIA ILGP provides up to 90% loan guarantees enabling Tennessee Native American entrepreneurs to access conventional financing they might otherwise not qualify for. Maximum individual guarantee is $500,000; tribal enterprises may qualify for larger amounts.

Eligibility
Enrolled members of federally recognized American Indian and Alaska Native tribes, or business entities with at least 51% ownership by enrolled tribal members. Includes Tennessee-affiliated tribal members and members of all federally recognized tribes living in Tennessee.
Requirements
- Enrolled member of a federally recognized AI/AN tribe, or business 51%+ owned by enrolled members
- Apply through a lending institution that participates in the ILGP
- Viable business plan and ability to repay required
