Waterbury's Enterprise Zone Program offers local and state tax incentives for eligible business investments in the city's enterprise zone.
About this program
Waterbury has Connecticut's second-largest enterprise zone, covering more than 1,600 properties. The Enterprise Zone Program provides local and state tax incentives to encourage businesses to open, improve, or expand property in targeted areas. The Waterbury Development Corporation administers the local enterprise zone process and works with Connecticut DECD on eligibility and applications.
Eligibility
Businesses undertaking eligible property improvement, expansion, or investment projects within Waterbury's Enterprise Zone.
Requirements
- Project must be located within Waterbury's Enterprise Zone.
- Applicant must undertake an eligible business investment or property improvement project.
- Applicant must submit required application materials before initiating the project.
