About this program
San Diego receives Emergency Solutions Grant funds from HUD to support eligible emergency shelter, homelessness prevention, rapid rehousing, street outreach, and related services for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
Eligibility
Eligible nonprofit and public agencies providing ESG-eligible homeless services to San Diego residents under HUD and city requirements.
Requirements
- Apply through city homeless services or federal funding process when ESG funds are available
- Document ESG eligible activities, target population, match, budget, and performance outcomes
- Comply with HMIS, procurement, reporting, and federal requirements
