Dearborn's Downtown Development Authorities may use TIF resources to support eligible downtown development and public improvement projects.
About this program
Dearborn's East and West Dearborn Downtown Development Authorities use tax increment financing and related downtown development tools to support public improvements, placemaking, infrastructure, redevelopment, and business district vitality in their respective downtown areas. Project-specific assistance may be available for eligible improvements that advance downtown development plans and require public-private coordination.
Eligibility
Businesses, property owners, developers, and public-private partners with eligible projects in Dearborn DDA districts may be considered for DDA-supported assistance.
Requirements
- Project must be located in an eligible Dearborn Downtown Development Authority district.
- Project must support DDA development plan goals or eligible public improvements.
- Applicant must provide project scope, budget, site control, financing plan, and public benefit information.
