NJ Farmland Preservation Program
State program preserving NJ farmland by purchasing development rights from farmers through easements, enabling farms to remain in agricultural use while providing capital to landowners.

Eligibility
New Jersey farmland owners interested in permanently preserving or placing their land in an eight-year preservation agreement. Preserved farms also qualify for additional SADC cost-share grants.
Requirements
- Must own eligible agricultural land in New Jersey
- Must apply through the SADC
- Property must meet SADC eligibility criteria for preservation
