About this program
The City of Ontario Downtown Facade Improvement Program uses HUD CDBG funds to provide 50/50 matching grants for eligible commercial storefront improvements in Historic Downtown Ontario, including signage, lighting, windows, and pedestrian-facing facade upgrades.
Eligibility
Commercial property owners or business tenants with eligible projects in the designated Historic Downtown Ontario area, generally along Euclid Avenue between Emporia Street and G Street.
Requirements
- Submit complete application materials before beginning work
- Provide proof of property owner consent, project description, cost estimates, and improvement documentation
- Receive notice to proceed and submit receipts, lien waivers, and completion documentation for reimbursement
