Meriden works with state and federal brownfield programs to support assessment, cleanup, and redevelopment of contaminated or underused sites that can return property to productive community and economic use.
Eligibility
Property owners, developers, nonprofits, and public entities with eligible Meriden brownfield sites and redevelopment projects that meet local, state, and federal requirements.
Requirements
- Coordinate with Meriden Economic and Community Development
- Document site conditions, reuse plan, and cleanup needs
- Meet DECD or EPA brownfield grant and compliance requirements
